I dearly love the jams following Estimated, wondering if someone can link me to some long, spacey ones, especially working into something other than Eyes.

That's me screaming (sorry) during this jam:http://www.archive.org/details/gd1990-04-03.mtx.hansokolow.97566.flac16

here you go...one of the top 3 Estimated Prophets leads into the Other One, then Eyes...http://www.archive.org/details/gd1978-07-08.sbd.tobin.91871.flac16

also check out 04-19-1982 for the middle jam reprise that is played in the closing outro vamp...right on the money...also goes into Terrapin Station, as opposed to Eyes O' The World...

6/7/77 Winterland contains a great Estimated into a superior "He's Gone"....probly not available here due to the new Winterland '77 box set release.

Just went back and read this post . I was at that concert , and the jam was some of the most amazing dead music I had ever heard live ! That "meltdown" somehow reminded me of some of Captain Beefheart's music .
I always though that this was in lieu of getting a Dark Star .
After the following "He's Gone", Jerry didn't want to quit the jam after it .
Branford sure jacked him up .

If I remember correctly, this one at Red Rocks is really nice and goes into Eyes: http://www.archive.org/details/gd1979-08-12.sbd.clugston.tetzeli.fix-9288.35038.reflac.flac16

Brent was still getting his legs...

I'll second 8-12-79. The best Estimated jams were in 1979 after Brent joined the band.

You did say long, and spacey.

Estimated Prophet-->Playin'/Supplication Jam-->Uncle John's Band-->Drums-->Space-->The Other One-->Morning Dew
runs approx 75 min

That's me moaning, when after space, they went into "I will take you home". Man, we were wanting a dark star so bad and to get that, was such a let down. I was third row in front of Jerry and that was my best mail order ticket, so we wanted it all. Ahhh to be young and greedy again over setlist.
